Lunch choices??

I need to find lunch meals that are filling since lunch is my big meal of the day but the meals still need to be healthy..

So here are my lunch choices at work..

Submarina, Quiznos, Taco Bell, Wendy's, Sansai, Santorini, KFC, Rubio's, Pick up Stix, Jack in the box, Cafeteria, Chipotle, In 'n Out, Subway, Panda Express, Sombrero, Mcdonalds, El Pollo Loco..

Wonder what semi-healthy meals I can get from these places..
So far,
9" Turkey at Submarina is filling and pretty healthy..
The Wendy's Mandarin Chicken Salad is healthy but not quite filling enough.. (about ~400-500 calories since I don't use all the dressing)
Cafeteria is ok, but I can only take eating there so much, like maybe once every week or two..

Probably In 'n Out, Jack in the box, Mcdonalds, Wendy's (except for salad) should be off the list permanently..

Hmmm... pondering...

Brown bag it! Then you can still go out with your friends, but you can eat your food there. Just sayin' ;) LOVE you!

Jack in the Box actually has some nice healthy salads (no dressing):
Asian Chicken Salad (with Grilled Chicken) 365
Chicken Club Salad (with Grilled Chicken) 373
Southwest Chicken Salad (with Grilled Chicken) 430

Wendy's Baked Potato is 270 calories and top it with their small chili (220) and a small side salad with no dressing (35) for a total of 525 for a pretty filling meal. If you can't stand no dressing, find a small bottle of light dressing to bring along.

Sansai, Rubio's and even Chipotle has some great choices right off the menu.

Yeah I saw some of those salads.. Too bad they had onions on top but maybe they aren't embedded deep in the salad and I can pick them off.

Your Wendy's choices sound good.. What are the healthy choices off of Sansai, Rubio's and Chipotle?

Usually I just get the Barbacoa burrito at Chipotle which is like 1000 calories. (but filling and I love it)

JITB - the onions are on top.

Take some time to get familiar with the nutritional information provided on the websites. For instance:
Sansai -
http://sansaiusa.com/menu_nutrition.html

Salmon Bowl with Rice and Oriental Salad is listed as 405 calories. (Always pick Brown Rice - although the calories are nearly the same, the nutritional value of brown rice is better).

I alway HIGHLY recommend:
http://www.calorieking.com/

This is a great free site to get some of the calories of your favorite foods.

For instance, if I type in Chipotle into calorieking it tells me that the chipotle flour tortilla is 330. That's too much in my opinion! But the Barbacoa is only 285 calories. So if I make a salad with black beans (130), Barbacoa (285), lettuce and a ton of salsa, it comes out to be under 500 calories.

Also, although I am sure you have some nerdy spreadsheet. www.fitday.com has some great calorie tracking software.
